Gomes made a catastrophic error to hand Real Madrid their goal in the game between Tottenham and the Spanish giants last night, but Real were already half through to the semi-finals after having won the first leg 4-0.
Redknapp said: “Gomes made a rare mistake but that is how it goes.
“He has made fantastic saves for us that he has had no right to make at times this season. I have no complaints.”
