With Mourinho refusing to answer questions as his assistant Aitor Karanka fielded the media’s enquiries, the press rose up and left.
It is not the first time Mourinho has riled the press, causing much anger at his behaviour everywhere he goes with his antics, England aside.
Karanka said: “He (Mourinho) doesn’t want his words blown out of proportion and he doesn’t want to be the one who raises the temperature ahead of the match.”
