Rijkaard’s contract with Barcelona expires in 2009.
He said at Saturday’s press conference: “Will I stay? Yes. I have decided. I have looked into the future and it tells me I should stay.
“I never said I would go. I am happy in Barcelona and it is an honour to work here.
“It would be arrogant to say I will be here for many years, as I know how football works and in future nobody knows what will happen. But I have no intention of leaving behind these people I love.”
