The Sunday Mirror reports that City’s owners have been impressed with the progress at Eastlands with Cook in charge.
City have seen revenues increase from £87million to £125million in the space of a year.
A City insider told the Sunday Mirror: “Nothing has been signed, but talks have taken place between Garry and the owners and they are progressing well.”
Cook is currently on a three-year deal worth £1.5million-a-year.
