Tevez handed in a transfer request earlier this season only to go back on that decision a few days later.
Mancini said: “He’s got a five-year contract but I always say that, in my opinion, a player should stay here only if he believes in the project and he’s happy to stay at the club. If I’m not happy to stay at Manchester City I will leave – and it’s the same for the players. If they aren’t happy to stay at the club it’s better they leave.”
