Tottenham keen to avoid fair play European spot

The Spurs boss insists that the club do want to finish fifth and qualify directly, but if they came sixth they could go into the qualifiers as the best non-European placed team in the fair play league.

“We don’t want to be in the fair play thing because we’d be back playing in June, so even our pre-season would get messed up. We’re off to South Africa in the summer and I don’t know what would happen with that.”
