The 29-year-old signed a five-year contract when he joined Napoli in 2008.
He told Radio Marte: “I’m doing well at Napoli.
“Firstly we qualified for the Europa League, I went to the World Cup [for Italy last summer] and now we have qualified for the Champions League.
“I hope that my value is recognised by Napoli with a new contract. My agent is looking into it, but I’m calm about it.”
