Jol made three new signings on transfer deadline day, when he brought in Zdenek Grygera, Orlando Sa and Bryan Ruiz.
“I am happy now with the squad,” the former Tottenham boss said.
“I feel like everything went well for us, with Ruiz and Grygera. And Sa as well, because there will be a few clubs who don’t have that back-up player and are still without players.”
“I have to say the transfer window was a bit long,” he added. “If you have a transfer window it takes four, five, six weeks of talking about people coming or leaving. It is a bit unsettling.
“But we now have almost two players in every position. Maybe not like Manchester City or Chelsea but I think we did well. We had 10 or 11 players [who] left and we got six or seven players in, so we are fine.”
