The 42-year-old is without a job after having recently been axed as boss of Norwegian side Lillestrom.
Berg is now keen on a return to British football as a manager.
Berg said: “I enjoyed my time in the UK as a player and would love to return in a managerial capacity.
“The Hibs job is very attractive – I know they have great facilities at the stadium and training ground – and I’d love to speak to them.”
