The 32-year-old midfielder has raptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Gera suffered the injury in Saturday’s 3-1 defeat by Tottenham in the Premier League.
Gera will undergo an operation to repair his knee on Saturday, the club have confirmed.
