Martin joined Palace on loan in November and has scored two goals in 10 appearances for the club.
The 23-year-old’s current loan deal will see him return to Norwich on February 4.
Freedman said: “With the performances he has shown, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that I would try to keep him here.
“But that is a conversation I will have with him at the end of the month.”
