Mario Balotelli converted the controversial penalty late on to draw Milan level and give them the impetus to go on and get a late winner.
“Milan were gifted a penalty,” Manuel Pasqual told Mediaset.
“It was disappointing to see the dream disappear like that. … we believed in the Champions League.”
“We feel impotent in the face of these situations,” said sporting director Daniele Prade. “There aren’t words at the moment. We deserved a lot more, we have never been gifted anything.”
