He said: “I’d love to stay. The fans have been fantastic, I want to stay part of this. I think Harry wants me here and even though the driving’s getting me down – it must be said it’s a long way – if we can come to some arrangement then why not?
“It’s in the hands of the board here at Portsmouth and it’s down to them at the end of the day so we’ll see.
“We’ve had talks and I’ve told them if they did this and a little bit of that we could possibly get a deal sorted out.
“I would love to stay. The fans have been fantastic.”
