Richards said: “I am not just here because someone is injured, I am here to make a mark.
“When Gary Neville is fit again, it is down to the manager who plays but I think I did well enough.
“There will be some games against certain teams where Gary is fit and England need some experienced heads.
“I cannot just put in a good performance once or twice – I have to do it every game for England.”
