Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has already made a £7million bid for the Montenegro international but will now face competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Montenegro FA president Dejan Savicevic said: “I am not surprised by the interest of Manchester United.
“Stevan could play in any of the biggest clubs in Europe. And I think United would get him on the cheap even for a £7million.”
Ajax, AZ Alkmaar, Heerenven and Sampdoria are also interested in the youngster.
