But the 31-year-old may wait until the end of the year before giving an answer to the Spanish giants.
Abidal’s current contract with Barcelona is set to expire in the summer of 2012. Barcelona have offered Abidal a new one-year extension while Abidal would like a new two-year deal.
“The player has not rejected Barca’s offer for a new deal,” Abidal’s agent, David Venditelli, told Catalan radio station Ona FM.
“We want to study the subject with calm and at the end of the year I predict an answer will be given to the club.”
