Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported this morning that the Manchester City owners, The Abu Dhabi United Group, were planning a takeover of Italian giants.
Reports claimed that the investment group were looking to take a 40 per cent stake in AC Milan, for a massive €500million.
The Rossoneri have moved swiftly to quash the rumours.
“With regards to the reports printed in the Corriere della Sera this morning about a potential selling off of stakes in the club, Fininvest and AC Milan [wish to] communicate that there is no truth in the news,” reads the statement.
