Eto’o has been linked with AC Milan and Liverpool in recent days.
Jose Maria Mesalles told Sport newspaper: “Barcelona know perfectly that Eto’o is happy in Spain and wants to stay. There is a contract and we want to honour it.
“We have never met with Benitez and we don’t want false news to be reported. As for Milan, the Blaugrana know Eto’o doesn’t want to leave.
“We are not looking for any offers, if anyone is interested they will have to contact Barcelona. In any case, we want to stay.”
