Menez has been compared to France legend Zinedine Zidane in the French press.
“Chelsea, AC Milan, Barcelona all asked for him, but the managers of these teams don’t play young players,” revealed Menez’s agent Alain Miglaccio.
“He came to Roma because he knew he would play, maybe not always as a starter but, unlike what would happen at Chelsea or Barcelona, where players like Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto’o would have been in front of him.
“On comparisons with Zinedine Zidane, let’s let him grow, improve and work with Roma then, in a year, we can make comparisons.”
