Deco was closely linked with a move to Italian giants Inter.
“I spoke with Ancelotti at the start of the season and he told me that he would like it if I stayed,” Deco is quoted as saying in The Sun.
“For me, having that conversation was very important because it’s fundamental to have a manager’s trust. Now I am happy to be playing,” he concluded.
