Comments attributed to him indicate that he has his eyes set on an English team.
“It is my firm desire to remain in England”, Ancelotti told La Repubblica.
“For a coach it is the ideal country.
“If I return it will be to lead one of the top English clubs, including Tottenham and Liverpool.
“It is clear that on the bench at Arsenal Arsene Wenger is in the process of rebuilding and in a few months an English coach will replace Fabio Capello as the national team coach, which will free up a place in a club.”
With Tottenham the only one of the top six clubs to have an English coach, Harry Redknapp, who has been heavily linked with the England vacancy which will arise next year, it seems a strong indication that Ancelotti has his eyes set on White Hart Lane.
