Having signed up to UEFA’s fair play rules which stipulate that club’s must break even and spend within their means, Chelsea appear to have done the opposite recently, having recorded losses in excess of £70 million.
Arnesen said: “[Torres signing] is fantastic. Bringing players in doesn’t close the door for the others. We have to make sure the other boys are good enough when the time is right.”
