Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is determined to use only his young players despite how far they get in the Carling Cup, but Van Persie is hoping for a u-turn.
“I want to play in that one. I’d love to play. If the boss decides to let me play, I’m happy,” said Van Persie.
“It will be a good game because Man City have a good side.
“If we can find the right mix – like we did in the last round against Liverpool we’ve a big chance of winning.”
