The Argentina Under-20 starlet has held talks with the Gunners over a switch to the Premiership.
Di Maria said: “Arsenal were speaking with me and all is going well, not only on personal terms but also the talks with Rosario Central.
“It would be great, especially if it benefits my family and Rosario Central.
“I would like that all to be resolved as soon as possible, because the Argentinian season begins in two weeks.”
