The Gunners have agreed a £8.5million deal in principle with French side Lorient for the defender.
The 24-year-old will sign a four-year deal worth £25,000-a-week with the Gunners.
A Lorient insider told The Sun: “The clubs have a deal in principle and an announcement should be made in the next few days.”
