The 23 year old Swiss international missed most of last season with a knee injury and only featured in one substitute appearance on the last day of the season.
Djourou told the Daily Telegraph: “The knee is good.
“This season is a new start for me.
“I had a hard season last time and new I feel good, I feel fresh, so I am ready to go.”
