Arsenal keen to offload eight players

Following the signings of France striker Olivier Giroud from Montpellier and Lukas Podolski from Cologne, the Gunners are now keen to slash their wage bill.

Denilson was expected to join Sao Paulo, Carlos Vela to Real Sociedad and Sebastien Squillaci to Bastia, but all three deals collapsed last week, according to the Daily Mail.

Arsenal are now looking to get the deals back on track.

The Gunners also want to offload Andrey Arshavin, Nicklas Bendtner, Marouane Chamakh, Park Chu-young and Johan Djourou in a attempt to cut the club’s wage bill.
