Italian website Tutto Mercato reports that Arsenal are ahead of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Juventus in the race for the Frenchman.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reportedly tried to sign Frey back in 2006 but is now ready to make a new attempt for the highly-rated keeper.
Frey would cost around 10 million Euros, according to reports.
