Gervinho, who joined the Gunners from Lille earlier this summer, insists Nasri had promised to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
“I wanted to play with Samir because he is a big player. His exit has left me in pain,” said the Ivory Coast international.
“He promised to be there this season – and then changed his mind.
“This is a different Arsenal. A new team without Nasri and Cesc. But we need to forget that and to turn the page.
“Now we must think only about the future.”
“I would have liked to have played with Cesc and Samir,” he told RMC.
“I like to play with great players and it’s a shame.
“They left to join big clubs to try their luck elsewhere.
“One day I hope to have the opportunity to play with them again.”
