The 25-year-old has long been linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal and has reportedly pulled out of contract talks with Fiorentina.
“My contract is not a case that people need to worry about,” Montolivo is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
“I’m fine in Florence.
“There is no case and I do not want to talk about it now, I’ll do so tomorrow after the game, now I want to concentrate on the Faroe Islands.”
Italy managed to beat the Faroe Islands 5-0.
