O’Neill told the club’s official website: “He’ll start non-contact stuff next week.
“It’s been really hard for him and frustrating because we’ve not been able to put a timescale on things.
“He’s going for a third set of tests in the next week or so and hopefully this will give us the definitive answers.
“The worry is what would happen if he got hit again and it got worse. Hopefully the final tests will give us some sort of conclusions.”
