Reports have claimed that the Cameroon international had rejected a new deal with the club.
“I never refused anything,” Atouba told Hamburger Abendblatt. “I want to stay here, I have to make myself clear about that.”
He added to Sky Sports: “I like the Bundesliga. I have settled nicely here since coming from the Premier League.
“I have contacts, but I like Hamburg and want to win things with the club.”
