Blackburn boss Paul Ince is ready to let the Dutch ace leave the club if he manages to sign Nedum Onuoha from Manchester City.
Ooijer has admitted that he would like to be playing on a regular basis at Blackburn.
Ooijer’s contract with the club expires at the end of the season.
“My contract is finishing at the end of the season, so we will see what happens,” Ooijer told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
“I don’t know what is going to happen, so who can say.
“Competition is all over the pitch and that is a good thing for the team. You always enjoy the game if you are playing though, of course that is always good.”
