The 17-year-old was linked with a move away from the Viola over the summer.
“The player is attached to Fiorentina’s project going forward,” Denis Rondanini told Radio Lady. “The decision the club took was to give faith in him, and it is an important one.
“It is a show of respect towards him and it is now up to Khouma to demonstrate his worth to [sporting director Pantaleo] Corvino that he has not made the wrong decision. I never believed there was a chance he would be loaned out, as I don’t see it as a growing experience.
“He will work hard in order to find a place in the team’s starting XI.”
