The 28-year-old has hinted that he has lost the motivation to turn out for Sweden.
“I haven’t decided yet,” he told Svenska Dagbladet.
“It’s a combination of a lot of reasons. My family, my body… and you have to be able to give 100 per cent every time you play for the national squad, that’s why you’re there.
“If you’re not 100 per cent up to it, it’s hard. I never do anything half-heartedly. We didn’t make it to the World Cup. That’s affected me. When’s the next important match? In a year? We’ll see.”
