There have been positive negotiations between the two clubs, but it is not believed a final decision on a partnership will be made until the end of the season.
A deal would see the two clubs exchange coaching staff, players and medical services.
Bojan Krkic, Giovani dos Santos and Marco Crosas could all start next season in the Dutch league playing for Ajax, should a deal be agreed on.
