Javier Faus, who is in charge of financial issues for the Catalans, believes it could be a step forward for European teams, improving their financial positions whilst also improving the overall quality of football.
He said: “What would be very interesting for us however is over the next 10 years creating smaller domestic leagues and a larger Champions League.”
