Sport reports that the Spanish giants are keen for Cuenca to sign a new deal that would keep him at the club until the summer of 2014.
Cuenca’s current contract with Barcelona is set to expire in the summer of 2012.
The 20-year-old has recently been linked with a move away from the club after having turned down Barcelona’s first offer of an extension.
