The Sunday Mirror says Barry is set to take advantage over the new transfer rules by buying himself out of his Aston Villa contract for just £2million.
Barry has been adviced to take advantage of the new “Webster ruling” in order to move to a bigger club.
Liverpool tried to sign Barry last summer but Villa boss Martin O’Neill valued him at £18million.
