The 28-year-old is reportedly close to signing a new contract that will keep him at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2015.
“I personally expect that Arjen will put pen to paper at some point during this round,” Heynckes said.
“I think that he will soon show once again how important he is to Bayern Munich.”
