The Bosnian striker has failed to become a regular at Eastlands since joining City in a £27million deal from Wolfsburg just 15 months ago.
The Sunday Mirror reports that Dzeko came close to leaving City earlier this year.
Bayern Munich have been keeping tabs on Dzeko’s situation at Eastlands and are keen to bring in a new striker in the summer.
