Bayern will not sell their stars

German stars Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm and Thomas Muller have all been linked with moves away from Munich following impressive performances in this years World Cup.

“Clubs looking to discuss transfers of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm or Thomas Muller can simply forget about phoning us,” Bayern director Rummenigge told Sportinformationsdienst.

“The same goes for those keen on Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez.

“I did tell everybody right after the UEFA Champions League final that we are not intent to part with anyone, plus also not with Franck Ribery.

“There is no way. I think we can be extremely content with the World Cup. Miro (Miroslav Klose) has had a marvelous comeback after a difficult campaign.

“Key players (of Germany) like Schweinsteiger and Lahm are from Bayern Munich. And even Thomas Muller makes quite a splash.

“If you count Toni Kroos in, who returns to our club from a loan spell, we have eight Germany internationals playing at the World Cup.

“This has not been the case since 1974, we are delighted and look forward to the future.”
