McGregor’s agent, Scott Hume, has confirmed that Benfica are among the clubs interested in his client.
“In this case there appears to be genuine interest from the club,” Hume told the Scottish Daily Express. “If I didn`t believe it was accurate then I would not be drawn in to commenting.”
He added: “Allan is under contract until 2013 and adores playing for the club.
“The Champions League is a big attraction for any player.
“Allan is 28 now and some might ask if he`s achieved all he can do for Rangers?
“For now the next move has to be Benfica making contact with Rangers and sorting things out at their end before Allan has anything more to think about.”
