Dossena has failed to make an impact at Liverpool, following his £7million move from Udinese in the summer.
The Italian has been linked with a January return to the Serie A.
“I am not considering selling Dossena,” Benitez said in the Daily Star.
“I think it is important to keep the squad together.”
