Bent is in England’s squad to face Germany tomorrow.
He told the Sun: “I’ve no idea whether Ramos wanted me or not. He said about four words to me in the year he was there.
“But now Harry Redknapp has come in and told me what he wants and I’ve managed to turn things around and start getting some goals.
“Juande tried to complicate it and change bits and bobs. I kept working and training hard and hoped things would turn around but, unfortunately, they never did.”
He added: “I’m delighted to have Harry at Tottenham because he is a fantastic manager.
“He helped Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch get back into the England set-up and they are playing really well. He’s come to Tottenham and I’ve got back in, so it’s no secret he’s fantastic.
“Harry has been a massive influence. Under Juande it was difficult at times. The structure of the team was tricky and we weren’t playing as well as we knew we could do.
“But Harry has instilled belief into the team. He has told everyone they’re good players and put his arm around them. That’s what you need.”
