The Italian youngster has not featured much for United this season and could be set for a loan move to his homeland in order to gain some experience.
“Bologna have asked for him but we have to evaluate thing with Manchester United,” Macheda’s agent Giovanni Bia told Tuttomercatoweb.
“This afternoon I have a telephone appointment with them, but it will be difficult for them to let him go.
“If they will do it would be on loan.”
