The Juventus defender sustained a knock to his left foot during the goalless tie with Northern Ireland on Friday.
“I think he will be available on Tuesday,” said Italy chief medic Enrico Castellacci.
“The x-rays ruled out any fractures, but he does have a trauma and a slight sprain.
“He was able to run without problems today, so I am very optimistic.”
