Maicon’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, believes his client deserves a new contract for staying at the club this summer, despite being linked with a move to Real Madrid.
“I have just spoken to the player,” Caliendo told Ansa.
“He said to me: ‘After five Scudetti, Moratti has noticed he has a real champion under his own roof.’
“I think Inter ought to show a little recognition to a player like Maicon.”
“Judging by Moratti’s comments I’d say there will be a new deal,” added the agent.
“Now I expect he’ll want to say it to Maicon in person.”
