Bristol City boss keeping tabs on Scottish talent

McInnes has been linked with a number of players since leaving his job as St Johnstone boss to take over as Bristol City manager.

“It would be foolish not to look at that (the Scottish) market in the same way we are looking at other markets,” he told the Bristol Evening Post.

“I’m going to be linked with St Johnstone and players in Scotland. There is nothing about to happen imminently. We’re looking all over and are now starting to identify players for January and the end of the season.

“We are looking to recruit good players and I think there are good players in Scotland. There are some I think can come in and do a good job for us at the moment.

“Robert Snodgrass and Ross McCormack (Leeds), Graham Dorrans (West Brom) and Don Cowie and Craig Conway at Cardiff have all come down and made their mark in the Championship.

“There are other players who could come down and do well for us, but I must stress that the players already here will dictate how proactive we are in bringing players in next month.”
