Bruce blasts Lampard goal

Frank Lampard scored the winning goal for the Blues in the last minute of the match and there has been suspicions that he pushed Wigand efender Mario Melchiot before his header.

“For me it’s a blatant push. He knows what he’s doing, Frank,” Bruce told Sky Sports.

“He’s turned Mario when he’s gone to jump, pushed him slightly and turned his shoulders.

“Fair play to Frank: we all do it and we all get away with it. The referee’s ten yards away. Mario’s unopposed to head the ball so why’s he not just headed the ball unless he was impeded?”

“I wasn’t happy with the Drogba shot, it wasn’t a corner, which he gave a corner for and this is the lead-up to it,” he added.

“Before N’Zogbia was booked there was a foul by John Obi Mikel, I said that to the fourth official.

“Sometimes when you go to these big clubs you honestly ask yourself: are they really, really genuine?

“There’s that amount of decisions that go against us and go against the smaller clubs is unbelievable, it really is.”
